Was born in Jacksonville (Vermont, USA), studied at Boston's Fisher Junior College and joined the State Department Foreign Service in Washington DC. She was destined to the US Embassy in Madrid and later to the US Consulate General in Barcelona, Spain, where she met and married Jose M. de Anzizu. She worked for the American Chamber of Commerce and later on she developed her own greenhouse business in Sant Pol de Mar during a period of fifteen years. At present she is a partner in the agricultural development located in the property of the Castle of Castellterçol and supervises the rural tourism activities there.
