Was born in Barcelona in 1942 and completed his first degree in Business studies and Law at the University of Barcelona in 1964. He completed his Post Graduate MBA at IESE in 1966.

Previous Professional Activities
Between 1966 and 1982 he was General Manager and CEO of two industrial companies both of medium size (< 1,000 employees) within the automotive parts and building materials sectors successively.
From 1983 - 1992 He was Deputy General Manager, CEO and then President of the International Philippines Tobacco Company. Between 1980 until 2000 he was a member of the steering committee for the IESE "alumni association" and between 1985 and 1991 he was president of the committee.

Current Activities
Since 1971 he has sat on the board of the of the "M.F.Roviralta Foundation" which is an organisation with altruistic aims and since 1988 he is President and Director of the same.
In 1986 he started a small consulting company : "Proyectos Organización, SA" and also a small company specialising in family assets and estate management. This is called "Gerencia de Proyectos e Inversiones SA".
He also sits on the board of various other altruistic organisations. During the last 30 years he has sat on the governing boards of more than 12 different companies, particularly in the hotel, estate management and automobile sectors. At the moment he sits on the board of two different hotel companies, two estate agents and a property management company which looks after 20 students halls of residencies and their concessionary companies.
