At the beginning of the 2007-2008 Academic year COS was integrated into the Department for Research, Development and Innovation at EADA as a Research Centre.
The research project currently being developed is to investigate What Small and Medium sized businesses in Spain (PYMES) do to integrate members of the immigrant community into the workforce and what they do to leverage the cultural diversity in their business model. This project is being currently worked on by members of EADA`s research Department in conjunction with the University of Barcelona.
In the Upcoming Academic year 2008-2009 a series of meetings and discussion groups will be organized around this topic. The wider consequences of immigration in local communities and the social responsibility of small and medium companies with regard to different immigrant communities will be examined.
An International Roundtable will be scheduled during the second half of 2009.
On June 12th 2008 Jose Maria de Anzizu will be presenting his book "Dirigir Empresas Sostenibles" (Managing Sustainable Companies) at EADA.
